I started recording and mixing at “The days of theatre” during high school. In that same period DJ-ing and making mix tapes got my attention. In the mid 90s one of my mixes was broadcasted during Ferry Maat’s Soul Show. Learned a lot of tricks from my father and uncle who both work with sound and music.
From 1990 till 1995 I studied sound at the Dutch Filmacademie. Made the first Dolby Surround soundtrack made at the Academie.
From 1995 till 2009 I was chief sound and picture at Meta Sound Studios in Amsterdam (later called CineMeta digital). Mixed hundreds of productions for television and cinema. From commercials and trailers to series and feature films. Also recorded and edited ADR and foley.
Started in 2009 my own company. That gave me the change to explore more international productions. Mixed and edited sound for feature films and documentaries for Australia and the UK.
Until now productions with my credit on it won over 40 awards. Including Golden Kalf, Oscar and many festival prices.
I am available as a freelancer and as a sound supervisor for both Avid Pro Tools and Steinberg Nuendo. Productions can be mixed in various sound studios and in my home Dolby Atmos studio.
Still working with a lot of passion in the world of sound.
